Yunho: ‘I hope there will be more fan boys, I want to know how we can achieve that.’
Ho Dong: ‘How many are there now?
Yunho: ‘Around 3.25%’
Changmin: It’s hard for a man to find another man attractive. Having more fan boys would prove that we really are that appealing.

Yunho went to the SM auditions without his parents knowing when he was in high school. The first round was vocals, the second was dancing. When he got through, his parents found out and were completely against it, so Yunho packed his bags, left home and went to Seoul. When he started training at SM, he realized that there were around 100 other trainees who were just like himself and he felt helpless.
——————————————–
Yunho: When I first got to Seoul, I went to a sauna. The 13,000 won price level shocked me. In Gwangju it’s only about 3500… So I had to get a load of jobs.
Ho Dong: (To Changmin) Have you ever worked?
Changmin: No

After Changmin was scouted, he went home and told his mom. With his mom’s encouragement, Changmin quickly signed a contract with SM. Yunho trained for a year before signing his contract.

After Changmin entered SM, he saw that a lot of people looked at him in an unfriendly manner. Yunho, who had already been through many hardships said to Changmin ‘If you don’t have the determination to keep going, then you might as well give up earlier.’ Yunho commented that one can hear whether or not someone is strong willed and determined based on the tone of their voice.

When they first entered the Japanese market, they were put on shows that were aired at around 3 or 4 in the morning. Changmin said ‘Who watches TV at that time of the day?’ As their status in Japan rose, they moved to a more spacious dorm from the small, crammed one they were in. Eventually they moved to a very big dorm where everyone was able to have their own room.

When the issues first arose, Changmin said he felt as though everything were over, that there would not be any activities ever again.
——————————————–
In their final performance, he (Changmin) thought of it as though it were his last time on stage and made up his mind to give his very best for the sake of that final stage.

When I first found out about the issue (lawsuit), the first thing I felt was shock.
The worst part of it was when we started to hear words from some of the fans about being traitors.

‘Whenever I’m down, he’d lie down and talk to me. Even though he’s younger than me, he’s always the one comforting me. It makes me feel quite ashamed as an older brother because I rarely express my gratitude to him’
——————————————–
Changmin: I saw Kohaku on our schedule, and after that, it was just blank. At that point, I thought to myself ‘this is going to be our last performance…’
——————————————–
What’s the most difficult part of being TVXQ with only 2 people? Yunho said ‘Since there are only the two of us, and Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun are such talented people, it is much harder for us without the three of them. Fortunately, the fans have continued to wait for us in the 2 years and 3 months we were absent.
——————————————–
‘Since making our comeback, what left the deepest impression are the fans who waited 2 years and 3 months.’
